Suzuki Swift Success
Now being compared to one of the most successful cars of all time - the Mini. Some within the automotive industry, are hailing the Swift as the next huge hatchback, and sales figures are certainly looking set to rise to the challenge. Being highly entertaining and fun to drive, the Swift has been warmly received by motoring enthusiasts everywhere. Depending on engine size, you can expect a minimum of 80bhp which, in a car as small and light as the Swift, could easily be mistaken for having a small rocket under the bonnet. Diesel fans will be pleased to know that performance is not affected too much, and the increased mpg could easily offset any loss in power. That said, the petrol sports version manages an impressive 126bhp output - enough to make any MPG enthusiast think twice! It's lightweight structure and precision steering mean that the swift is also one of the best handeling hatchbacks available. OK, so strictly speaking the Swift is more of a supermini than a hatchback, but you know what we mean! With a starting price of just £8,926 and used suzuki in Sheffield available even cheaper than that, the Swift is certainly a whole lot cheaper than the Mini. Plus there's the added bonus of not being made to look like a poser wnabe every time you pop to the shops. Suzuki have recently re-released the Swift with some updated features. Being such a popular car as it is, there weren't many changes that Suzuki really wanted to make to the car. And who can blame them. Following the lessons of Ford and other big, long established car manufacturers, you don't change a winning formula. Small tweaks were all that was needed, and that's all that Suzuki have done.
